Born on the East Coast, raised in the Midwest, Bobby’s love of literature came from his parents’ insistence on education – including summer tutoring on how to read when he finished first grade unable to do so.
Once he got the hang of reading and realized you could read about things you were interested in, he dove in – starting with reading every children’s dinosaur book in the library and, once those were exhausted, onto “adult” dinosaur encyclopedias. He progressed from there to delve into the realms forgotten, those with a lance for dragons, and to misty mountains. And let’s not forget those stories set in a galaxy far, far, away.
Having quite a passion for the fantastic, mystical and futuristic, Bobby continued to delve into all things related to these genres, expanding into games, movies, and anime. He’s quite a nerd and a sucker for a good story and great characters!
After reading thousands of books and having started several different books over the years but never quite getting past page fifty he found himself suddenly unemployed during COVID and said, “If they can make Monster Hunter the movie with that script, I can write a novel!” (hopefully you’ll agree my book is at least better than that!!!)
Finding an interesting enough subject to keep his attention through the entire process – namely the “Problem of Evil”, he embarked on writing his first novel – Drake’s Inferno.
When he’s not writing (which he’s not right now, he’s taking a break) you can find him reading, gaming, watching anime, walking dogs, traveling, exercising, eating, and occasionally cooking–most of which he does with his beautiful and amazing wife!
